On the first day of fashion and textiles week we were asked to choose a starting point: structure, font or texture and initially produce 5 initial small samples. I chose Structure and texture, therefore my 5 samples are below.
After the 5 samples we were asked to recreate one of our chosen sample 20 times and i chose to recreate this, however it was much harder and in my opinion unsuccessful because i had to enlarge it and had to use brown paper which came out very rough and ugly.
These are mine and my partners designs for which we used our enlarged samples, his was airplanes and mine rolls. However our task was to leave our samples by a sand and move on onto other peoples samples and create a design using their work to which we were also giving different briefs.
Therefore we were given someone else's stand with their work and had to create a look.
No brief,
The idea behind this was 3D, it had to pop, made as big as we could.
